Why Take Private Tennis Lessons?

As "Tennis for Dummies" says, "Tennis challenges one to improve, to hit your strokes and develop your strategy to become a more efficient, effective player. When you improve your game, you don't just become a better player, you also get the satisfaction that comes from mastering a skill".

That's where a teaching professional comes into the picture. When you get serious about your tennis, even if you're just playing for fun, you might consider taking private tennis lessons.

For the absolute beginner, a series of private lessons develop skills and confidence you might desire before joining a group or a league.

No tennis instructor, regardless of how much experience and talent he or she has, can turn you from a beginner into Serena Williams or Rafael Nadal in one hour-long lesson (or even five, for that matter!). However, I will help you improve your game in some very concrete ways.

Why Take Semi-Private Tennis Lessons?

Semi-private lessons (as opposed to classes) are another great option. Taking lessons with a sibling, spouse, or friend is more economical than individual lessons, but much more individual attention is given to each student than in a large group environment. It's a lot of fun for families too!

Semi-private lessons can be an advantage for beginners who aren't in great shape or for people who haven't developed enough strength or skill to take advantage of an intensive, 60-minute private lesson.

Rates:

Individual private lessons: $25 an hour

Private lessons package: 5 lessons for $100

Semi-private lessons: $30 an hour for 2 to 8 students
